T: Look at the picture, What’s it?
S1:It’s the Great Wall.
T: Could you tell me something about it?
S1:Certainly. The Great Wall of China is one of the greatest wonders of the world. It’s about 4000 miles long, The ancient Chinese began to build some walls around 600 B.C. People regarded the Great Wall as a symbol of the Chinese nation.
T: Very good. Do you want to visit the Great Wall?
S1:Yes. It’s my dream.
T: I hope your dream will come true.

T: Hello. S2, what’s this?
S2:It’s the Great Pyramid.
T: Where is it?
S2:It’s in Egypt.
T: Can you say something about it?
S2:Yes. The Pyramids in Egypt are world-famous and the Great Pyramid of Khufu is the largest one among them. It took about 100, 000 people over 20 years to build it. It was built in about 2560 B. C. The building is made up of two million stones. Each stone weighs more than two tons. It has four sides and each side is 230.4 meters long and it’s 138 meters high.
T: Yes, it is very good.

S3:They are Emperor Qin’s Terracotta Warriors.
T: Where are they?

S3:The first emperor, Qin Shihuang, ordered his men to make them.
T: Are you interested in them?
S3:Yes, I am.

2. (利用七笔小人的游戏复习数字。规则:教师准备若干张写有多位数字的卡片。如:3,154,260。将学生分为男女两组,每组选7位同学代表本组参加游戏。每位同学依次抽一张卡片并用英语读出卡片上的数字。读对一次,老师就在黑板上为本组画一笔。哪个组的小人先画完,哪个组为获胜组。)
T: Boys and girls, here are many number cards. Each group choose 7 students. Each student chooses one card and then reads the number on it, clear?
